An online platform for strengthening NDP grassroots democracy

What what

Rooms

  • British Columbia heads to the polls May 9th.  Let's help John Horgan and all the BCNDP candidates form the next government and build a better BC!

  • At the last Federal Convention in Edmonton in April, 2016, a resolution was passed to "recognise and support the Leap Manifesto as a high-level statement of principles that speaks to the aspirations, history and values of the party.  The resolution also calls for the Leap Manifesto to be meaningfully debated in riding associations in advance of the next policy convention in 2018.

There are many differences of opinion within the party concerning the Leap Manifesto, and we're going to have to get on the same page by 2019.  These are exactly the type of discussions that New Voice has been built to handle.

This room is for discussion of all things Leap.  Also on topic here are other policy ideas that could accompany the transition to a bold new future.

  • In October we will be picking a new leader, and over the next eight months we're going to have a lot to talk about.  This room will hold all conversations related to the Leadership Campaign.

  • This room will serve as a catch all for day-to-day discussions.  What's in the news, what's happening in the party, what's happening in Ottawa and across Canada, and as well as how we should be positioning ourselves politically.

  • Netroots:

Political activism organized through blogs and other online media, including wikis and social network services. The word is a portmanteau of Internet and grassroots, reflecting the technological innovations that set netroots techniques apart from other forms of political participation.

This is a room to hold meta-discussions about what's happening on New Voice as well as other online projects providing value to progressives.  Broadly speaking, this room is about organizing online.
